Overview

The Senior Analyst - Project Management Support role is to technically support the implementation of actions for Project UNOPS/24879, ensuring coordinated, organized, and articulated project progress among all stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the update of the project work plan and activity schedule.
  • Provide support in the implementation of project activities, assisting in coordination with partners.
  • Support the organization of meetings for project articulation with partners.
  • Participate in meetings with partners for experience exchange and strategy harmonization.
  • Support the preparation and/or update of technical documents.
  • Support the preparation of terms of reference and/or technical specifications.
  • Support the supervision and monitoring of service contracts and plan preparation.
  • Support the review of consultant and contractor products.
  • Support the monitoring and control of project implementation progress.
  • Conduct technical visits to selected municipalities for the elaboration of Risk Reduction Plans.
  • Support the proposal of planning adjustments to achieve general objectives.
  • Support other activities within the professional area that contribute to project operations.
  • Support monitoring to ensure efficiency, consistency, and technical soundness of contract maintenance processes.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the development of urban planning and risk prevention instruments, preferably in Municipal Risk Reduction Plans (PMRR), Urbanization Suitability Maps, Geotechnical Susceptibility Maps, Geotechnical Risk Maps, Municipal Master Plans, Urbanization Plans and Projects for Villages and Favelas, Land Regularization Plans.
  • Proficiency in the tool and methodology for the development of Municipal Risk Reduction Plans from the Ministry of Cities.
  • Desired experience in training in Risk Mapping and Management.
  • Desired experience in the public sector or international organizations in urban planning projects.
Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Geology.
  • Desired: Master's degree (or equivalent) in engineering or geology will be considered a differential.
  • Desired: Doctorate in engineering or geology will be considered a differential.
