Overview

Provide accurate translation from English to Myanmar languages and vice versa for public information documents and materials. Ensure timely and quality translations for the Mechanism's social media channel and website.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing accurate translation from the English language to the Myanmar language (Burmese) and vice versa.
• Proofreading any translation work that is done by any other translation individual contractor.
• Providing timeous translations for use on the Mechanism's social media channel and website.
• Meeting periodically with the Mechanism's language services team to discuss lexicons and other issues.
• Other tasks pertaining to the use of the Myanmar language (Burmese) as may be required.

Required Experience

A minimum of two (2) years of experience translating from the English language into one of the Myanmar languages, and vice versa, is required. Experience in translating legal, criminal investigative documents or information is desirable.

Qualifications

A relevant first level university degree is required. Certification in English and/or one of the Myanmar language would be desirable.
