Overview
The intern will support the achievement of objectives for the Geneva Global Office, including analysis for WFP positioning on humanitarian policy and governance discussions, increasing Member State engagement, and outreach to prospective Private Sector partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Track Member State positions through key dialogues and thematic issues, of relevance to WFP
- Support the work of the Humanitarian Diplomacy Service
- Support engagement of potential partners within the Geneve International context
- Other activities, as requested by the Director
Required Experience
- Previous exposure to multilateral, national government, or NGO policy development would be an asset
- Previous international education and/or work experience would be an asset
- Previous experience in Brief and/or communications preparation would be an asset
- Has a basic understanding of government strategies
- Has developed powerful narratives by using data analysis visualization to enable action-oriented discussions with partners
- Has motivated team spirit and contributed to a gender-balanced, inclusive and sound working environment
Qualifications
• Be a Bachelor’s student (and have completed at least two years), or a Master’s student from a recognized university and have attended classes in the last 12 months; OR Have completed University within 6 months prior to the application to the internship position, and have attended classes in the last 12 months.
