Overview

Asociado(a) de Programas will provide specialized and programmatic technical support to the Nutrition, Public Health and Family Agriculture Unit for the implementation, articulation and follow-up of the orientation and nutritional follow-up component of the food voucher mechanism (PANTBC), rice fortification, and maternal and child nutrition.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical-programmatic support to the UNSPAF for the implementation of nutrition interventions, including PANTBC, rice fortification, and maternal and child nutrition.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the PANTBC nutritional component with UNSPAF, MIDIS/MINSA/DIRIS/DIRESA/RIS, and other relevant actors.
  • Accompany and provide technical support to the Program Assistant in the planning, coordination, and follow-up of operational actions.
  • Ensure activities are developed in coherence with WFP, MIDIS, and MINSA guidelines, ensuring technical quality and a continuous improvement approach.
  • Supervise the execution of PANTBC nutritional component activities (initial orientation, educational sessions, tele-orientation, in-person visits, and reports).
  • Ensure timely follow-up of critical cases of the nutritional component, articulating with the project technical team to ensure adequate responses.
  • Identify gaps, risks, or bottlenecks in the implementation of nutritional actions and propose technical and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to the capacity building of health personnel, territorial teams, and nutritional counselors, promoting sustainability and quality.
  • Consolidate, systematize, and analyze information generated by the Program Assistant and other key actors for programmatic decision-making.
  • Support the follow-up of nutritional and operational indicators linked to the Unit's interventions in maternal and child nutrition and rice fortification.
  • Participate in technical tables, operational meetings, and sectoral spaces, contributing to the positioning of WFP's nutritional approach in maternal and child nutrition and rice fortification interventions.
  • Support articulation with implementing partners and strategic allies to ensure technical and programmatic coherence.
Required Experience
  • Desirable general experience of at least 6 years in the management of nutrition programs, public health, or social projects.
  • Desirable specific experience of at least 4 years in coordinating technical teams and capacity-building processes.
  • Desirable specific experience of at least 4 years in designing and implementing educational materials and nutritional orientation strategies.
  • Desirable experience in projects with international organizations, ministries of health, or conditional cash transfer programs.
Qualifications
  • Secondary school education.
  • Desirable university studies in Nutrition.
  • Desirable postgraduate studies in public health, social program management, or related fields.

• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is required.
Languages Preferred
• Desirable English at an intermediate level.
