Overview
Support WHO Country Offices and Ministries of Health in designing, setting up, and implementing ecosystems for digitizing health worker payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the establishment and onboarding of a National Task Force.
- Assist in the selection and contracting of service providers.
- Scope beneficiaries’ databases and develop a strategy to close identified gaps.
- Ensure the configuration and use of the enrolment application.
- Support enrolment operations, including identification, recruitment, training, and monitoring.
- Pilot digital payments for operational costs.
- Serve as a project focal point, track deliverables, and manage communications.
- Support capacity building activities for WCO staff and MOH personnel.
Required Experience
- Band A (P3): At least 5 years of progressive experience in designing, setting up, and implementing digital financial services in sub-Saharan Africa. Relevant working experience with governments, international organizations, NGOs, or donors.
- Band B (P4): At least 7 years of progressive experience in designing, setting up, and implementing digital financial services in sub-Saharan Africa. Relevant working experience with governments, international organizations, NGOs, or donors.
- Band C (P5): At least 10 years of progressive experience in designing, setting up, and implementing digital financial services in sub-Saharan Africa. Relevant working experience with governments, international organizations, NGOs, or donors.
Qualifications
- Band A (P3): A first-level university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Information Technology, or other discipline related to the functions of the position.
- Band B (P4) and Band C (P5): An advanced university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Information Technology, or other discipline related to the functions of the position.
