Overview
The internship provides administrative and operational assistance to ensure the effective implementation of programme activities within the UNODC Programme Office in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing administrative and logistical support for programme implementation.
- Support the preparation of administrative documents, correspondence, and official communications.
- Assist in maintaining filing systems and programme documentation.
- Support travel arrangements.
- Provide support in tracking administrative actions.
- Assist in preparing basic reports and documentation.
- Support coordination between programme and operations teams.
- Assist in the organization and coordination of meetings, workshops, training sessions, and consultations.
- Support logistical arrangements.
- Assist in preparing meeting minutes and summaries.
- Assist in managing office records, files, and documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the programme team.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams.
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
- Preferably in the area of business administration, public administration, management, international relations, social sciences, or related fields.
