Overview
The UNV Expert in information management, monitoring, and reporting for Health and Nutrition will support UNICEF Colombia in its humanitarian response by managing information, monitoring activities, and producing reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, adjust, and implement standardized information management structures for humanitarian actions in health and nutrition.
- Produce analytical inputs for decision-making, including needs assessments and dashboards.
- Build and agree on a monitoring framework with technical sheets, tracking matrices, and data collection instruments.
- Conduct field monitoring to verify activity implementation and service quality.
- Prepare periodic reports (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed) for various platforms and humanitarian documents.
- Apply mechanisms for consistency, verification, traceability, and reconciliation of data.
- Coordinate with implementing partners, UNICEF staff, and humanitarian actors.
- Assist in strengthening UNICEF's integrated programmatic and results monitoring system.
Required Experience
- 7 years of experience in humanitarian monitoring and reporting, information management, or sectoral analysis, with a focus on results and human rights, particularly in child, health, and nutrition issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Core Commitments for Children (CCCs), Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR), Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), and Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), as well as gender equality, protection, and child development approaches.
- Experience in roles related to the formulation, follow-up, and accountability of policies, plans, and projects with a focus on human rights, gender, and children.
- Experience in field work in humanitarian and emergency contexts.
- Experience in producing and editing documents and information on child rights violations.
- Experience in UN agencies, funds, or programs, or other international and national development or humanitarian action organizations is valued.
- Familiarity with risk analysis associated with natural and anthropogenic disasters, as well as climate change adaptation is desirable.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in economics, political science, international relations, or similar.
