Overview

The Junior Communications and Publications Officer will support the implementation of the Global Forum's communications strategy, coordinate the publications cycle, and contribute to web and social media activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver communication plans for events and publication launches, including news releases, social media campaigns, and web content.
  • Coordinate end-to-end workflows for communication outputs, ensuring early planning and production oversight.
  • Assist in developing key messages for priority outputs.
  • Enhance team prioritisation and planning by establishing clear deadlines and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Coordinate Global Forum publications from planning to dissemination, managing deadlines.
  • Liaise with external service providers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Ensure publications comply with OECD corporate standards and style guides.
  • Ensure consistency in visual presentation and branding across all materials.
  • Design and deliver visual assets for events.
  • Develop and produce additional communication materials such as flyers and brochures.
  • Assist with producing charts and graphics for reports.
  • Co-manage and maintain the Global Forum website, ensuring content accuracy and alignment with rules.
  • Continuously improve the website’s structure, functionality, and user experience.
  • Drive social media outreach by developing and implementing engaging campaigns.
  • Draft and publish impactful content for social media channels.
  • Design engaging digital visuals for social media.
  • Collaborate with communications teams through regular meetings.
  • Work closely with authoring teams on the creation and production of digital and print materials.
  • Support the co-ordination and oversight of the development of visual identities and branding for key projects and events.
  • Liaise with external contractors and maintain a pool of external communications experts.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a communications, publications and/or digital content role.
  • Excellent knowledge of web content management, editing standards and the latest developments in communication technologies and best practices.
  • Good understanding of the Global Forum Secretariat’s mandate and activities, and broader familiarity with the OECD’s substantive work and institutional context.
  • Proven understanding of key social media platforms and their strategic use to support institutional visibility and engagement.
Qualifications

• Post-secondary education, and or related experience, preferably in communications or Information Technology.

Other Details
Languages Required
• Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of other languages, especially Spanish, would be an asset.
Contract Duration
Thirteen-months fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of 36 months.

Remuneration
• Monthly salary starts at 4 502EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
