Overview
Oversee and optimize fleet operations supporting humanitarian activities, ensuring transport resources are safe, compliant, efficient, and ready to support field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient management of the delegation’s fleet (less than 70 assets).
- Dispatch vehicles in a safe and economical manner.
- Optimize resource allocation across operational sites.
- Supervise vehicle documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee fuel management, spare-parts systems, and technical standards.
- Provide technical guidance on outsourced transport services.
- Supervise a team of drivers, strengthening technical capacity.
- Plan lifecycle management of vehicles and assets.
- Contribute to fleet budgeting and financial oversight.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics project management or a similar transport/logistics role.
- Demonstrated experience improving operational performance (cost reduction, process improvements, innovation).
- Experience working in international or multicultural environments; experience abroad is an advantage.
- Knowledge of trucking, freight forwarding, or vehicle dispatching is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or related field.
- Additional certifications in fleet management, logistics, or supply chain is an asset.
- Valid Professional driver's license.
