Overview
The Air Operations Officer 1 is responsible for processing passenger/cargo bookings, managing passenger manifests, supervising aircraft loading/unloading and refueling, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process passenger/cargo bookings via ICRC’s air operation database (AOMS4).
- Manage passenger manifest and notification for local authorities.
- Supervise aircraft loading/unloading and refueling.
- Handle flight requests, flight notification and security clearances.
- Ensure ICRC SOP is adhered to.
- Collect invoices from Suppliers.
- Maintain and develop contacts with ICRC AirOps Officers, Sudanese Authorities, Airport representatives, UNHAS and INGOs.
- Assist with monitoring and consolidating flights.
- Maintain good professional contacts with local Authorities and follow-up official procedures.
- Control and file post flight documents.
- Keep relevant parties informed of any delays.
- Keep AirOps statistics, reporting and documentation up to date.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a field related to air transportation is desired.
- Experience with a humanitarian agency is an asset.
Qualifications
- High School Certificate
- Some complete college coursework or associate degrees an asset.
- Additional vocational training in logistics or aviation is an asset.
- Intermediate level of computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of technical aviation terminology.
- Driving License, succeeded in ICRC driving test.
