Overview
Supports the Head of Unit in leading the organisation’s Learning & Development functions, delivering key programmes and initiatives across a significant portion of the workforce. Ensures high-quality programme delivery, operational management, and continuous enhancement of learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning, prioritization, and delivery of Learning and Development programmes.
- Ensure alignment of L&D initiatives with organisational priorities and operational needs.
- Coordinate programme pipelines, balancing demand, capacity, and impact.
- Supervise team leads and ensure effective cross-functional coordination.
- Drive performance management and support staff development.
- Contribute to talent development, succession planning, and capability building.
- Ensure consistent application of adult learning principles and high facilitation standards.
- Promote contextualisation of learning solutions.
- Champion data analytics and evidence-based approaches.
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation frameworks and reporting processes.
- Translate data into actionable insights.
- Act as a key interlocutor with stakeholders.
- Contribute to regional Learning Needs Analyses.
- Support annual planning, budgeting, and strategic priorities.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
- Significant experience in Learning & Development.
- At least 5 years in a people management role.
- Proven experience designing and delivering leadership and management development programmes.
- Experience in international and/or humanitarian environments is an asset.
Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Adult Learning, Education, Leadership, or a related field.
