Overview

Consultant to advise on the implementation of regional project activities in Central Asia, with a specific focus on deliverables under Tajikistan and regional workplans.


Key Responsibilities
  • Launch of the regional implementation phase, including stakeholder engagement processes and the initial drafting of regional summary reports.
  • Execution of workshops under the regional and national workplans, including progress review and impact assessment inputs.
  • Finalization of national-level implementation toolkits and development of capacity‑building training modules.
  • Drafting of the comprehensive draft final report and submission of the final assignment report.
  • Completion of formal handover and closure documentation.
Required Experience

At least five years of relevant work experience at the national or international level in international development cooperation is required. Experience on the implementation of programmes or projects to prevent and combat trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants is required; Experience in working with donor-funded programmes/ projects, as well as experience in Tajikistan and the Central Asia Region, is required. Experience working for the United Nations or other international organizations on the implementation of technical cooperation is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in criminology, law, social sciences, education, training and development, business administration or related field. A first-level university degree in a similar discipline, combined with two additional years of relevant professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Fluency in English, Tajik and Russian is required.

Knowledge of other official UN languages is desirable.
