Overview
The role involves supporting the implementation of public-private partnership (PPP) advisory mandates, including report preparation, client interaction, financial modeling, and consultant supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on several mandates simultaneously with different project teams, focusing on Mass Transit PPPs and/or school or hospital Private Finance Initiatives (PFIs).
- Assist in business development, including proposal preparation, mandate structuring, marketing documents, and roadshows.
- Support project scoping, financial model preparation/review, and financial analysis.
- Prepare notes, minutes, presentations, and documentation for internal approvals and clients.
- Coordinate project implementation with consultants, including preparing ToRs, supervising hiring, and quality control.
- Prepare applications for project funding from donors.
- Coordinate with other IFC departments (environmental and social, legal, advisory, investment).
- Understand World Bank programs and assess PPP opportunities.
- Perform other duties as requested by senior team members.
- Develop capacity to manage individual tasks with minimal supervision and work proactively to advance projects.
- Develop expertise in IFC processes and internal systems management.
Required Experience
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience at a leading financial institution.
- Exposure to PPP and/or PFI transaction advisory, project finance, M&A, privatization advisory, or private equity.
- Ability and proven track-record to develop financial modeling in project finance.
- Experience in dealing with government clients, investors, and multiple stakeholders of infrastructure projects.
- Experience in infrastructure sectors with knowledge of sector trends, legal and regulatory requirements will be considered a plus.
