Overview
Provide support to the Protection unit activities in Boa Vista, with a focus on administrative, financial, and operational tasks related to the protection of migrants.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Protection Associate in Boa Vista with the implementation and monitoring of administrative, financial, and operational IOM’s Protection activities.
- Support the conduction of protection needs assessments.
- Support the facilitation of capacity building activities.
- Support to protection activities within the Relocation Strategy.
- Support to protection activities within the Documentation services to migrants.
- Support monitoring and reporting processes about protection activities.
- Participate and represent IOM in protection working groups, meetings and liaising with local authorities and Operation Welcome stakeholders and strategic partners.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with protection of migrants.
- Experience working within a team of colleagues from diverse cultures and professional backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Law, Public Policy, Human Rights, Population Studies, Intercultural Studies or related areas, in Brazil or abroad and related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience OR Highschool diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
