Overview

The Climate Finance Analyst will support the design, coordination, and implementation of climate finance strategies to enhance access to climate finance and promote innovative financing solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the financial viability, risks, and returns of climate-related investment proposals.
  • Support the design and implementation of climate finance strategies, including innovative financing instruments.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of climate finance initiatives.
  • Map funding opportunities and contribute to the development of concept notes, proposals, and investment cases.
  • Support the preparation of business models for clean energy and resilience projects.
  • Facilitate engagement with government counterparts, donors, and private sector actors.
  • Analyze trends in national and international climate finance.
  • Draft briefs, case studies, and knowledge products related to climate finance and clean energy.
  • Support integration of climate finance into broader UNDP country programme activities.
Required Experience
  • 3 years Donor priorities .
  • Proven experience in strategic and/or management consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively within development projects.
  • Solid experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Prior experience with international organizations, government institutions, NGOs, or the private sector is an asset.
  • Proficiency in the development and analysis of public policies.
  • Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills.
Qualifications

Master's degree in Climate Change; Environmental Sciences; Environmental Economics or related fields
