Overview

The Communications Intern will support UNFPA Cambodia’s communications and digital engagement work, focusing on youth participation, SRHR, GBV prevention, and social norm change. The role will contribute to content creation, social media management, and increasing the visibility of UNFPA’s programmes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing digital content including social media posts, photos, short videos, infographics, graphics, and youth-friendly stories.
  • Monitor social media trends, engagement, and provide analytics/reports.
  • Contribute to youth-focused outreach and digital campaigns on SRHR, GBV prevention, gender equality, and positive social norm change.
  • Assist in preparing communication materials for events, launches, and workshops.
  • Support adherence to UNFPA branding guidelines and contribute to routine visibility efforts.
Required Experience

Eligible interns must possess some relevant professional interest and experience.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent) and have completed one full academic year;
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as master’s programme or higher);
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree as defined above and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation; or
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional trainee programme and undertake the internship as part of this programme.

Work Modality
Subject to the approval of their supervisor, interns may benefit from flexible working arrangements, including flexi-time, compressed work schedules, and remote work within or outside the duty station.
Remuneration
Interns who do not receive financial support from an outside party are eligible to receive a stipend as a contribution towards living expenses. The stipend is paid at the end of each month.
