Overview
The Data & Analytics Platform Administrator is responsible for the effective administration, stability, and continuous improvement of enterprise data and analytics platforms, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance and scalability. The role provides technical advisory and support to stakeholders to enable effective use of analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise data and analytics platforms, ensuring availability, security, and compliance.
- Implement and enforce governance practices including access management, usage policies, and platform configurations.
- Manage and resolve platform-related incidents, service requests, and user issues.
- Monitor system performance, usage, and health, and recommend improvements.
- Utilize scripting and automation tools to enhance administrative capabilities.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to domain administrators and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and incident resolutions.
- Contribute to knowledge management initiatives and provide training.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in platform administration, preferably in Power BI Service, Microsoft Fabric, or similar data platforms.
- Strong SQL proficiency and solid understanding of data platforms.
- Experience managing access control, including roles and permissions.
- Knowledge of capacity management and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with platform configuration and administration.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and standardization practices.
- Ability to implement governance guardrails.
- Experience working in cross-functional or multi-team environments.
- Ability to analyze usage metrics, logs, and system performance data.
- Proven capability to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and telemetry.
- Demonstrated data-driven decision-making approach.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly guidance.
- Experience supporting domain admins, business users, or non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Proficiency in PowerShell (strongly preferred).
- Experience automating administrative tasks.
- Comfortable working beyond UI, including scripting and API-level interactions.
- Experience in troubleshooting, incident response, and operational support.
- Ability to manage and resolve platform-related issues efficiently.
- Ability to understand end-to-end platform architecture and dependencies.
- Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
