Overview
This internship is located in the Press and External Relations Section of the United Nations Information Service in Geneva. The role involves supporting the social media presence of UNIS Geneva.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and curate social media content on a daily basis.
- Maintain and update weekly editorial calendars.
- Collect and edit multimedia information.
- Monitor sources for new content and information.
- Edit and subtitle news videos using dedicated software.
- Create visuals and other materials using online tools.
- Attend press conferences and events to gather content.
- Take photos and make videos at events.
- Draft posts for X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Research trends and suggest reposts.
- Monitor social media accounts for comments and questions.
- Conduct weekly and monthly analytics and prepare reports.
- Attend press briefings and prepare summaries.
- Attend meetings and draft press releases.
- Contribute to the daily media monitoring of Swiss newspapers.
- Carry out other tasks as requested.
Required Experience
No prior work experience is strictly required for this internship.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- OR be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
