Overview

The Information Management Specialist (Nutrition) will be responsible for ensuring IM processes effectively contribute to a well-coordinated, strategic, adequate, coherent, and effective response by stakeholders. The role involves leading and managing the collection, analysis, and sharing of information essential for informed, evidence-based, strategic decisions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement an IM strategy, a data collection, and an analysis plan.
  • Coordinate overall data quality assurance.
  • Conduct data processing including organizing, cleaning, triangulating, evaluating and validating the data.
  • Contribute to the preparation and update of information material.
  • Develop infographics, dashboards including maps.
  • Implement regular secondary data reviews and primary data collection.
  • Maintain and ensure the accessibility of a common and shared secure storage system.
  • Actively engage with other IMs through relevant IMWGs and OCHA.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify information gaps and implement ways to bridge those gaps.
  • Collaborate closely with the ICT Team on implementing innovative solutions for data collection and dissemination.
Required Experience

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in information management, data management, geographical information systems, assessments, situation analysis and/or PM&E with the UN and/or NGO is required.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Social Science, GIS, Information Technologies and or another subject area relevant to Information Management.
