Overview

Develops, manages, and implements solutions in Women, Youth and Vulnerable Communities (WYVC) with a focus on Youth and Trade, supporting entrepreneurship and employability for young people in developing countries.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements and evaluates assigned projects.
  • Monitors and analyzes project development, theories of change, and implementation.
  • Performs consulting assignments related to inclusive trade topics.
  • Researches, analyzes and presents information related to trade and economic empowerment of women, youth and underrepresented groups.
  • Coordinates policy development.
  • Generates survey initiatives; designs data collection tools.
  • Organizes and prepares written outputs.
  • Provides substantive backstopping to consultative and other meetings.
  • Initiates and coordinates outreach activities.
  • Conducts training workshops, seminars, etc.
  • Leads large, complex field missions.
  • Coordinates activities related to budget funding.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of seven years (9 years with a first level degree) of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. Experience in working in developing country context including in African and Latin America is desirable. Experience working with promotion of trade for youth-led, women-led businesses, and other underrepresented groups is desirable. Experience designing large trade-related technical assistance projects is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, international trade or a related field. A first-level university degree in the above subjects combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
