The Head of Resident Coordinator Office provides support to the Resident Coordinator and UN Country Team on sustainable development analysis, strategic planning, programming, financing, communications, advocacy, and partnerships. The role serves as a key advisor to the RC and is accountable for the quality and timeliness of the office's work.
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, sustainable development policy, project/programme management in the context of development cooperation or related area is required. Experience with multi-stakeholder coordination on the context of development cooperation or related area is required. Experience in UN interagency coordination, designing, implementing partnership and resources mobilization strategies is desirable. Experience in team leadership and management is desirable. Experience in promoting knowledge management in the context of development cooperation is desirable.
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education, or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
