Overview
This opportunity is for experts to conduct reviews of national dangerous goods regulatory frameworks and training on dangerous goods transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an in-depth desktop review of the national dangerous goods regulatory framework and regulations.
- Conduct an in-depth desktop review of the national dangerous goods handbook.
- Provide a report on the findings of the review and recommendations.
- Deliver training on dangerous goods transportation to civil aviation authority inspectors.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least 7 years management or supervisory experience within a civil aviation department, with responsibilities pertaining to implementation of rules, regulations, operating manuals and flight and ground procedures deemed necessary for flight safety, inspection and certification.
- Detailed knowledge of the broad field of international airline management and operations with extensive experience in the transport of and dealing with dangerous goods.
- Sound knowledge of ICAO Annex 18 and Doc 9284--Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air.
- Experience as a dangerous goods instructor.
Qualifications
- A first level university degree in civil aviation, transportation, management or other relevant area.
- A valid dangerous goods certification is required.
