Overview

Leads the Resident Coordination Office (RCO) to provide support to the Resident Coordinator and UN Country Team on sustainable development analysis, strategic planning, programming, financing, communications, advocacy, and partnerships. Manages RCO resources and staff to ensure efficient and effective coordination support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leads strategic guidance to RC and UNCT on UN support for 2030 Agenda implementation through CCA/UNSDCF.
  • Facilitates and oversees external partnerships and joint resource mobilization for UNSDCF.
  • Coordinates and supports roll-out and implementation of the efficiency agenda.
  • Manages and directs knowledge management and capacity development activities.
  • Supports strategic positioning of the UN and corporate strategic communications.
  • Leads and coordinates overall management of the RCO.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in leading strategic planning, leading multi-stakeholder coordination, sustainable development policy and programme development (economic analysis, partnerships, data and M&E analytics, communications) and management in the context of development cooperation or related area is required.
  • Experience in UN interagency coordination, team leadership and management is required.
  • Experience in financial and Operations Management is desirable.
  • Experience of inclusion strategies that promote Gender equality, youth participation and inclusion of persons with disability is desirable.
  • Experience in designing and implementing innovative partnership is desirable.
  • Experience in designing and implementing resource mobilization strategies is desirable.
  • Experience in capacity development on digital literacy, foresight and innovation is desirable.
  • Experience in promotion of knowledge management in the context of development cooperation is desirable.
Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent degree) in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education, economics, or related area. A first level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
