Overview

The Project Associate (Reintegration) will provide technical, administrative and operational support for the proper execution of Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome, inform, and guide beneficiaries on return and reintegration assistance options.
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of AVRR activities, from voluntary return to reintegration, and to the close monitoring of beneficiaries and administrative case management.
  • Create and monitor individual beneficiary files (updating databases, collecting and verifying documents).
  • Follow up on logistics and finance files to collect proof of funding for reintegration projects implemented for AVRR migrants.
  • Provide facilitation to returnees in drafting business plans and guiding them in setting up their businesses.
  • Collect IOM service fees.
  • Support the efficient and effective handling of all cases until satisfactory completion of activities.
  • Support the effective and sustainable reintegration of returned Guinean migrants through personalized support and local monitoring.
  • Keep abreast of internal and external developments in the field of AVRR and share assessment of potential impact on IOM support to migrants with the Head of Unit.
  • Assist in delivering information sessions on AVRR to stakeholders likely to be in touch with potential beneficiaries.
  • Undertake field visits to project sites, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with the principles of confidentiality, dignity and non-discrimination.
  • Collect and centralize the information needed to write activity reports.
  • Support the organization of workshops, awareness-raising sessions, and training for beneficiaries and partners.
  • Assist in assessing the needs of beneficiaries, identifying specific vulnerabilities and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with the project team and partners to quickly resolve any issues encountered by beneficiaries.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and protection of beneficiary data in accordance with IOM standards.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the position and as requested by management.
Required Experience
  • Experience in the field of migration and/or protection
  • Prior experience in working with mixed migrant population on protection and direct assistance.
  • Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of actors, including people of culturally diverse backgrounds, government and authorities, humanitarian actors (UN agencies and NGOs).
  • Computer literacy and skills with specific proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Reliable, efficient, high level of professionalism, organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Good analytical skills, strong eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in Agriculture or Livelihoods ; Migration, Environment and Climate Change (MEEC) ; Gender is an asset.
  • Experience in case management, Counter Trafficking and AVRR, or other protection programming (required).
  • Experience in delivering AVRR trainings to internal and external audiences (required).
Qualifications

• University degree in International Relations, Law, Social, Political or Economic Sciences, Social Work, Migration or Development Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience or Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with five years of relevant professional experience.
