Overview
Provide technical and analytical support for baseline and yield study-related activities under the Joint Programme, focusing on data management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct desk reviews of relevant documentation.
- Support compilation and organization of secondary data.
- Assist in preparation of baseline study methodologies and technical documentation.
- Support organization of data collection activities.
- Prepare and configure digital data collection tools.
- Assist in organizing training sessions for data collectors.
- Support monitoring of data quality.
- Assist in data cleaning, organization, validation, and storage.
- Support compilation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Assist in preparation of sex-disaggregated datasets and analytical tables.
- Support generation of summary statistics and analytical outputs.
- Assist in documenting baseline and yield study findings.
- Support compilation of GPS coordinates and field location data.
- Assist in preparation of GIS-related datasets and maps.
- Support organization of geospatial information.
- Support preparation of technical summaries and draft reporting materials.
- Assist in compiling recommendations based on analyzed data.
- Support organization and archiving of assessment documentation and datasets.
- Support collection and organization of field photos and beneficiary information.
- Assist in organizing visual documentation and supporting materials.
- Perform other relevant technical and analytical support tasks.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in rural development, research related work, livelihoods generation, conducting trainings, etc.
- Experience working within a UN/International agency and experience in or understanding of managing joint projects in a peacebuilding context would be an asset.
- Experience in analyzing institutional operations, systems and processes.
- Work experience in developing data collection tools and conducting trainings of data collectors and carrying out needs assessment is essential.
- Experience in mainstreaming gender equality within programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Relevance and extent of knowledge and experience in working with inter-governmental bodies and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Significant experience conducting research and baseline assessment for FAO or any international organization is considered an added advantage.
- Knowledge of using statistical/analytical tools/packages on research will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Sociology, Development Economics, Physics, Mathematics/Statistics, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
- Advanced university degree will be an added advantage.
