The Gender Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that gender equality and women’s empowerment are integrated into all aspects of UNDP’s work, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals. The Gender Analyst provides technical and advisory support to the Country Office to ensure the effective integration of gender equality and women’s empowerment across UNDP programmes and projects.
Minimum of two (2) years (with Master’s degree) or four (4) years (with Bachelors’ degree) of experience in relevant work experience in the area of gender equality and women empowerment is required. Proven experience and deep understanding of current and emerging gender equality challenges and trends. Experience and knowledge of global gender analysis and mainstreaming tools and standards. Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks in gender programming. Experience in reporting and publication purposes.
Advanced University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender or Women’s Studies, or relevant field is required. Or A first level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of relevant experience will be given due consideration in lieu of advanced university degree.
