Overview
The intern will support the United Nations Environment Programme's Governance Affairs office, specifically the Civil Society Unit, with IT-related tasks and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation in website updates, including adding and editing accredited organizations, uploading documents, and editing content.
- Support registration processes for meetings and work on participant lists.
- Develop and conduct client satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback.
- Draft accreditation memos for organizations.
- Support communications with accredited UNEP Major Groups and Stakeholders.
- Support the day-to-day management of internal databases.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. A field of study closely related to the type of internship is required.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Data science, or Cyber Security.
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- Have graduated with a university degree.
- Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
- Ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts is desirable.
- Ability to design surveys and polls is desirable.
