Overview
The Impact Evaluation Coordinator (Anticipatory Action) will support the operationalization of a joint evaluation agenda between OCHA and WFP, serving as the primary liaison and overseeing the design and implementation of impact evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the WFP/OCHA partnership by acting as a liaison, engaging with country teams and UN agencies to assess evaluation opportunities, and holding regular engagements with WFP Anticipatory Action team.
- Develop impact evaluation designs for priority countries, lead day-to-day engagement with stakeholders, and prepare progress updates, donor reports, and presentations.
- Lead or support the delivery of impact evaluations, including Randomized Control Trials, procurement of IRB approvals, design and programming of survey questionnaires, and selection/contracting of data collection firms.
- Lead or support data analysis, day-to-day engagement with field coordinators, participation in field missions, support enumerator training, and monitoring of programme implementation.
- Co-author briefs, reports, and publications, and lead or support dissemination workshops and field visits.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 6 years’ professional experience supporting the delivery and quality of impact evaluations, preferably with exposure to climate/resilience impact evaluations or research.
- Experience managing RCTs in the field; experience in hardship duty stations is considered a plus.
- Experience working with UN and multilateral agencies; experience working on multi-agency impact evaluations is considered a plus.
- Experience working with government partners is desirable.
Qualifications
• Doctoral degree in academic disciplines relevant to the assignment (economics, political science, development studies, etc.).
