Overview
The role supports the National Project Coordinator and the Market for Change Team in implementing and monitoring project activities, contributing to program design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute technically to program strategies and proposals for Market for Change.
- Support the development and logistical arrangements for project activities.
- Provide secretariat support to Project Working Committee and Project Management Committee meetings.
- Undertake administrative and financial tasks to facilitate program delivery.
- Assist/Coordinate and monitor the implementation of program activities and partner agreements.
- Support surveying of beneficiaries and data collection.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity development support to partners.
- Monitor progress on program activity, results, and indicators.
- Provide input to reports on outputs, results, and outcomes.
- Assist with budget implementation and program activity expenditures.
- Provide technical inputs to inter-agency coordination and advocacy efforts.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year (with Master’s Degree) or a minimum of three (3) years (with Bachelor’s Degree) of progressively relevant experience at the national or international level in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required.
- Experience in the Women Economic Empowerment space is desirable.
- Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors is desirable.
- Previous experience working in the UN system is an asset.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, and experience in handling of web-based management systems is required.
- Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Pacific countries and cultures, especially in Vanuatu.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Political or Social Science, Economics, International Development Studies, Gender/Women's Studies is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
