Overview
Support effective and efficient delivery of programme and project activities and programme development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, consolidating, and drafting information materials and reports.
- Support the identification and formulation of programmatic interventions for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.
- Participate in programmatic meetings and coordination workshops, and follow up on recommendations.
- Perform day-to-day follow-up with project implementation teams to ensure documentation of achievements.
- Draft and/or review the quality of project and programmatic reports and communication materials.
- Assist in quality assurance of project reports and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure and maintain proper filing and tracking of programme-related documents.
- Provide assistance in the development and formulation of quality information materials.
- Conduct field visits to document programmatic issues, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Draft programmatic case studies and success stories.
- Lead/Support the formulation of concept notes and project documents for new projects.
- Provide coaching and support to relevant personnel on corporate system functions.
- Support the formulation, implementation, and coordination of new projects and interventions in Gaza.
- Carry out the responsibilities of the Programme Analyst during maternity leave.
- Perform any other duty related to programme implementation, coordination, and development.
Required Experience
- At least one year of professional experience relevant to emergency and development projects, preferably with a focus on programme support.
- Working experience with international organizations is desirable.
- Extent and relevance of experience in programme/project formulation, implementation and management.
- Knowledge of international humanitarian architecture including the UN System, NGOs etc. is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, and interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (Oracle, MS Word, Excel, etc).
- Ability to travel across the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
- Extent of familiarity with the geographical region.
Qualifications
• Advanced university degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in developmental studies, international relations, social studies, agriculture, or related fields. Consultants with bachelor`s degree need two additional years of relevant professional experience.
