Overview
The ICLA Team Leader will lead the implementation of Information Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) interventions in the Aweil Area Office, overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and coordination of ICLA interventions.
- Represent NRC in ICLA-related forums.
- Plan and execute ICLA activities.
- Provide technical support to implementing teams, CSOs, and National implementing partners.
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements.
- Implement ICLA activities according to strategy, proposals, budgets, and plans.
- Prepare periodic status reports and other documents.
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Break down annual operational plans into weekly, monthly, and quarterly implementation plans.
- Coordinate with relevant partners.
- Ensure timely procurement, development, and distribution of materials and equipment.
- Train and develop the team.
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
- Ensure projects target beneficiaries most in need and explore better assistance methods.
- Develop a work plan in consultation with the ICLA Coordinator.
- Supervise and manage the work of ICLA team members.
- Manage human resources processes for project staff.
- Prepare PRs and oversee the preparation of advances for procurement.
- Identify improvements in the planning and implementation of ICLA activities.
- Remain updated on legislation and legal developments in South Sudan.
- Manage the provision of information regarding NRC and ICLA services.
- Conduct secondary research and incident verification.
- Consolidate weekly data reports and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports, donor reports, thematic reports, and correspondence.
- Participate in NRC staff seminars and training.
- Monitor, evaluate, and suggest improvements to the ICLA project.
- Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in IDP/refugee-related programmes and community-based work.
- Strong previous experience in legal casework, protection, and project management of a team, if possible with an international NGO or UN agency.
- Solid experience in managing people.
Qualifications
• Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Law or social sciences, Humanities from a recognized University.
