Overview

Provides assistance in support of planning and implementation activities/processes for a large and complex component of the departmental programme/project initiatives. Researches, compiles, analyses, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific programmes/projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provides assistance in support of planning and implementation activities/processes.
  • Researches, compiles, analyses, summarizes, and presents basic information/data.
  • Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation.
  • Assists in the preparation and analysis of programme/project budget proposals.
  • Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes/projects.
  • Collaborates with programme/project managers on performance reporting.
  • Drafts programme/project summaries.
  • Serves as focal point for coordination, monitoring and expedition of programme/project implementation activities.
  • Prepares, maintains and updates files and internal databases.
  • Drafts correspondence and communications related to programme/project administration.
  • Assists with the collection and analysis of data and preparation of data presentations and reports.
  • Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
Required Experience

A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in programme/project administration, coordination, or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree. Experience in the use of Microsoft applications i.e. Word, Excel Access and Powerpoint is required. Experience with the United Nations common system, international organizations, or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is desirable. Experience in security coordination, information management, or training support, preferably in the context of inter-agency or partner coordination mechanisms, is desirable.
