Overview
The Senior Project Officer (Financial Sector) will contribute to the financial sector development work in Pakistan, focusing on loan/Technical Assistance processing and administration, portfolio management, and sector activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to financial sector pipeline development.
- Lead and provide technical support in the preparation, approval, and administration of loan and technical assistance projects.
- Maintain coordination with development partners.
- Co-lead and participate in the processing and administration of lending operations & TAs.
- Draft relevant project/program documents.
- Design and participate in SD3-FIN missions.
- Maintain liaison with government officials, financial sector players, and private sector stakeholders.
- Assist in conducting research and preparing reports.
- Monitor and analyze sector developments and trends.
- Prepare information and briefing notes.
- Lead/support sector and project missions.
- Monitor project/program progress and prepare reports.
- Prepare updates and forecasts of contract awards & disbursements.
- Maintain knowledge base of government plans and processes.
- Lead and participate in Project/Program Reviews or Country Portfolio Review missions.
- Raise awareness about ADB's financial sector activities.
- Lead and contribute to meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Mentor and oversee administrative staff.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience
At least 8 years of experience in project management, and implementation; and at least 4 years of supervisory experience. Diversified experience in (i) financial sector development with sound understanding of infrastructure finance, and capital markets; and (ii) government's finances, including state-owned enterprises, at the federal and state-level in Pakistan.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in economics or finance, or related fields; preferably with Master's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, management or related fields.
