The Gender Analyst guides and facilitates the integration of gender equality perspectives in the multi-country programme, projects, and operations. The role coordinates the office's proactive role with partners in promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in designing, managing and implementing development projects and initiatives addressing gender equality and women's empowerment. Desired: United Nations experience on promotion of gender equality; demonstratable experience in working and collaborating with state institutions for gender equality promotion, capacity building and gender-responsive budgeting approach; demonstrable experience in applying gender analysis to policy development and policy review; working knowledge and experiences related to gender equality challenges in the Pacific.
Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in gender studies, public policies, law, social sciences, economics, or related field is required, OR A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
