Overview

The Resilience Associate will support the design, coordination, integration, technical oversight, and resource mobilization of resilience interventions. The role involves supporting engagement with various stakeholders on resilience building, local economic development, and refugee-host integration.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operationalization of the West Nile resilience strategy.
  • Coordinate day-to-day technical follow-up of resilience activities.
  • Support integration of resilience in all programmes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of concept notes, project documents, donor briefs and funding proposals.
  • Compile, structure and analyse programme, contextual and operational evidence.
  • Support the identification, documentation and dissemination of lessons learned and promising practices.
  • Liaise with partnerships, RAM, M&E, supply chain, finance and field teams.
  • Support engagement with district local governments, OPM, line departments, UN agencies, NGOs, private sector actors and development partners.
  • Convene and lead on CPs monthly coordination meetings.
  • Assist in the development and follow-up of annual workplans and activity schedules.
  • Support field missions, technical meetings, workshops and partner consultations.
  • Contribute to the design and review of terms of reference and partnership documentation.
  • Monitor progress against outputs and milestones, flag implementation risks, and propose corrective actions.
  • Support integration of cross-cutting priorities within resilience programming.
  • Maintain organized records and reference files for resilience strategies and proposals.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations and summaries for management and stakeholders.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.
Required Experience

At least six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in resilience, livelihoods, food systems, climate adaptation, local economic development, programme coordination or a closely related field. Demonstrated experience in supporting the design or implementation and coordination of multi-sector resilience programmes, preferably in fragile, refugee-hosting or development-humanitarian nexus contexts. Proven experience in drafting concept notes, proposals, donor reports or other strategic programme documents based on evidence and operational learning. Experience working with Government institutions, development partners, NGOs and/or UN agencies is highly desirable.

Qualifications

University degree in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management or another field relevant to resilience programming. Advanced training in climate resilience, food systems, livelihoods or related areas is an asset.

Knowledge of local languages used in West Nile is an added advantage.
