Overview
Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of relief, livelihood, nutrition, school feeding and safety net activities. Contribute to the development of WFP Mogadishu Area Office strategies, policies, and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of relief, livelihood, nutrition, school feeding and safety net activities
- Contribute to the development of WFP Mogadishu Area Office strategies, policies, and programs
- Review and present project proposals
- Prepare a range of reports and data analysis
- Manage Area Office operations to ensure transparent and efficient people management
- Forge and nurture external partnerships
- Oversee monthly monitoring and evaluation activities
- Incorporate gender perspectives in all areas of work
- Participate in the programme planning process
- Support the identification, development, and management of potential partnerships
- Provide technical and programmatic support to the programme team and cooperating partners
- Review and maintain monthly distribution plans
- Manage, prioritize, and plan for resources
- Any other tasks as required.
Required Experience
At least one (1) year of relevant experience with an Advanced University Degree OR a First University Degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in humanitarian and development programmes, including food assistance, nutrition, livelihoods, and social protection, with proven skills in programme implementation, coordination, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
Advanced University degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Science or other field relevant to international development assistance, OR First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training courses.
