Intern, Climate Change, Food Security and Natural Resources

Overview

UNECA is seeking interns to support the Climate Change, Food Security & Natural Resources Division in developing and promoting climate-response policies, plans, and programmes. Interns may also assist with preparations for COP32 and contribute to cross-cutting themes within the division.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in research on climate-related themes
• Assists in drafting and editing of publications, briefs and other documents
• Assists in maintaining databases
• Assists in tracking project negotiation and implementation
• Participates in the organization of meetings and events
• Assists with outreach activities
• Assists the preparation for the COP32
• Participates in the division's day-to-day operational tasks
• Contributes in administrative tasks as assigned
• Participates in meetings and draft meeting minutes

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent).
