Overview

The intern will support the Data and Policy Team's ongoing projects under the SheTrades Initiative by assisting with mobilization, training facilitation, project management, communications, and data collection.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in organizing online and in-person events, including workshops, webinars, trade missions, and policy dialogues.
  • Support outreach efforts to engage participants from different sectors and backgrounds.
  • Draft and send invitations and follow-up messages in English, French, and Spanish, as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating with internal teams and external partners involved in project delivery.
  • Contribute to the preparation of policy briefs, meeting notes, questionnaires and training materials.
  • Help update and share relevant information on events and training with SheTrades teams.
  • Liaise with the SheTrades communications team to plan the promotion of policy and data activities through social media and web content.
  • Draft and propose content for social media and the SheTrades website, in coordination with the communications team, in English, French and/or Spanish, as necessary.
  • Support with the creation of PowerPoint slides in English, French and/or Spanish, as necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation and administration of surveys and evaluation forms for project activities.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain databases of participants and training beneficiaries.
  • Upload documents such as attendance lists and evaluation forms to relevant ITC platforms. Keep databases up to date.
Qualifications
  • Applicants to the programme shall, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements: a) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); c) Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in a or b above) and, if selected, shall commence the internship within one year of graduation. Relevant field of studies e.g. law, business studies, international trade, sustainable development, economics. SKILLS
  • Computer literate, particularly regarding the use of major office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel) and social media.
  • Good communication and analytical skills and the capacity to present findings clearly in writing and orally.

Fluency in French and/or Spanish - both written and oral, an asset.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
