Overview

Support the implementation of the project's state-level activities in the Amazon region, focusing on strengthening environmental governance and promoting sustainable territorial development.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of planned activities with state authorities, partner UN agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate strategic engagement and maintain dialogue with high-level institutional counterparts.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and build partnerships.
  • Support the planning and execution of technical activities, including trainings, workshops, and dialogues.
  • Monitor progress against planned outputs and propose corrective measures.
  • Support data collection and analysis efforts.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical, policy, and progress reports.
Required Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, government relations, public policy dialogue, or institutional coordination with senior government officials and decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex political and institutional environments, build strategic partnerships, and facilitate inter-agency cooperation.
  • Experience in the Amazon region or in similarly complex operational environments.
  • Proven experience in project implementation and coordination, preferably within international organizations, development cooperation programmes, or public policy initiatives.
  • Experience in law enforcement, environmental governance, natural resource management, or criminal justice, particularly in areas related to environmental or transnational crime, is desirable.
  • Experience supporting multi-stakeholder initiatives, including coordination with UN agencies, civil society organizations, Indigenous peoples' organizations, academia, and public institutions, is an asset.
  • Experience preparing policy briefs, strategic analyses, official communications, or recommendations for senior government stakeholders is desirable.
Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Law, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field relevant to project management, public policy, or government relations.
