Responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Tasks Summary
- Assist with installation, service, and maintenance of low-voltage electrical systems and components
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults
- Install, maintain, and repair power distribution systems
- Provide electrical support for HVAC, elevators, and lifts
- Perform routine diagnostics and preventive/corrective maintenance
- Operate tools and power equipment
- Work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
- Enforce safety programs
- Assist with assessing requirements and preparing work-orders
- Assist in developing proposals for electrical projects
- Prepare cost estimates for budgets and spending plans
- Prepare requisitions for procurement of supplies and materials
- Maintain liaison with local contractors and suppliers
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of seven (07) years of progressively responsible experience within the United Nations system or in the private sector at the national or international level in Electrical Engineering is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) years for candidates who possess a First-level university degree or higher.
- Experience in conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC systems, solar panels, diesel generators, and elevators is desirable.
- Experience in assisting with the procurement of goods and services is desirable.
- Experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable.
- Working experience of MS-Office is desirable.
- Experience in data analytics or related areas is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A technical or vocational certificate in Electrical Engineering is required.
