Overview
Performs human resources functions including recruitment, classification, and administration of entitlements and benefits for staff and military observers.
Tasks Summary
- Supports hiring managers in job opening development and review
- Assists with applicant eligibility verification
- Initiates and follows up on reference checks and pre-recruitment formalities
- Prepares offer of appointment documents
- Schedules and coordinates candidate assessments
- Maintains electronic rosters for successful applicants
- Assists in reviewing and processing classification requests
- Advises staff on HR policies, procedures, regulations, and rules concerning entitlements and benefits
- Reviews and maintains time and attendance records, processing leave requests
- Acts as a focal point for staff on salary, allowance, pension, insurance, and after-service benefit matters
- Reviews and processes entitlements and benefits actions in Umoja ERP/SAP, FSS, and Inspira systems
- Monitors and documents issues related to staff conditions of service
- Conducts research and prepares written responses to HR queries
- Assists with back-to-back administration of Uniform personnel
- Reviews and processes entitlements and claims for Uniform personnel
- Maintains Umoja ERP/SAP entitlements reference tables
- Delivers HR induction upon deployment
- Maintains and processes FSS administration for IUPs
- Undertakes research on HR-related issues and prepares reports
- Assists with compilation and preparation of statistical reports
- Trains and provides guidance to new and lower-level staff
- Conducts exit interviews and assists with separation arrangements
- Prepares and drafts responses to HR queries
- Performs other work-related duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in human resources policies, procedures, and practices
- Experience in interpreting and applying HR policies in an organizational setting
