Overview

Assists in identifying training providers and developing learning networks. Contributes to the development and conduct of induction courses and facilitates training sessions.


Tasks Summary
  • Identify regional training providers and establish learning networks
  • Contribute to development and conduct of induction courses
  • Liaise with HR to recruit local staff for training
  • Facilitate training and/or briefing sessions
  • Identify and leverage external training opportunities
  • Promote services through brochures and updates
  • Complete requirements for recruiting consultants and providers
  • Develop statement of requirement and evaluation matrix for bidding
  • Conduct technical evaluations
  • Participate in development of Mission training SOPs
  • Conduct training need analysis/assessment
  • Prepare and implement consolidated training plans
  • Coordinate and prepare cost estimates and budget proposals
  • Monitor expenditures and provide justifications
  • Coordinate logistical preparation for staff departing for training and trainers arriving
  • Coordinate administrative and logistical support for training courses
  • Compile, update and consolidate statistical data and financial reports
  • Create systems for monitoring training applications and examinations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements

Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in work force learning and development, adult learning, training or a related area is required. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience for candidates with a first level university degree. Experience providing training or related activity to or in a field operation of the United Nations Common System or a comparable international organization is desirable.


Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Professional certificate in training or learning and development, adult learning, management, public or business administration, or a related area such as educational or social science.
