Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects. Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources.
Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation; Performs consulting assignments; Researches, analyzes and presents information; Assists in policy development; Undertakes survey initiatives; Prepares written outputs; Provides substantive support to meetings; Undertakes outreach activities; Participates in or lead field missions; Coordinates activities related to budget and funding; Collects and analyzes data.
A minimum of five years (seven with a first level university degree) of experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. Experience in trade related technical assistance (TRTA) projects is desirable. Experience working in challenging security environments, including fragile and conflict-affected settings is desirable. Experience in the areas of market access and competitiveness, with a specific focus on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is desirable. Experience delivering approaches to economic development focused on market systems, such as Market Systems Development (MSD) is desirable. Experience in value chain analysis and development is desirable. Experience working in the United Nations common system is desirable.
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field, such as agronomy or agriculture. A first-level university degree in the above subjects in combination with an additional two years’ qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
