Overview

Contributes to delivering the branch work programme with emphasis on domestic resource mobilization and infrastructure asset management aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Addis Ababa Action Agenda on Financing for Development.


Tasks Summary
  • Participates in programme/project development, implementation and evaluation
  • Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation
  • Reviews documents and reports, identifies problems and proposes actions
  • Liaises with relevant parties and tracks follow-up actions
  • Contributes to policy analysis, research and development
  • Assists in capacity development initiatives and events
  • Performs consulting assignments and develops action plans
  • Researches, analyzes and presents information from diverse sources
  • Assists in policy development, including review and analysis of issues and trends
  • Undertakes survey initiatives, designs data collection tools, analyzes responses
  • Prepares written outputs such as background papers, analysis, reports and studies
  • Provides substantive support to meetings, conferences, including UN General Assembly or Economic and Social Council events
  • Undertakes outreach activities, conducts training workshops and makes presentations
  • Participates in or leads field missions, provides guidance and drafts mission summaries
  • Coordinates activities related to budget and funding, prepares related documents and reports
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights using data visualization methods
  • Performs other duties as required

Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required
  • Experience in implementing capacity development projects in developing countries is required
  • Experience in managing trust fund or multi-donor extra budgetary projects is required

Qualification Requirements

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Contract Duration: Initial period of one year. Appointment or assignment and renewal are subject to the availability of the post or funds, budgetary approval, and extension of the mandate.
