Overview
Responsible for the coordination, implementation, management, and monitoring of programmes, projects, and activities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Tasks Summary
- Participates in programme/project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
- Prepares and reviews programme documents and reports
- Prepares yearly workplans
- Identifies problems and proposes corrective actions
- Liaises with relevant parties and tracks follow-up actions
- Contributes to country and regional programming processes
- Researches, analyzes, and presents information
- Provides support to consultative and steering committee meetings
- Prepares written outputs, including progress reports and briefing notes
- Participates in and/or leads field missions
- Contributes to budget and funding activities
- Manages financial grants, sub-contracts, and procurement actions
- Supports integration of gender, youth, and environment interventions
- Contributes to fund-raising efforts
- Develops project concept notes, proposals, and documents
- Stays abreast of global trends and client demands
- Contributes to project development in the MENA region
- Conducts outreach activities and workshops
- Performs other duties as required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in project or programme management, administration, or related area
- Seven years of experience with a first-level degree
- At least three years of experience working in MENA region is desirable
- Experience in trade-related project design is desirable
- Experience in the UN common system is desirable
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, or a related field
- A first-level university degree in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted
