Overview
Provides ethics advice and guidance to staff and management on ethical issues, including misconduct and conflicts-of-interest. Supports the implementation and monitoring of ethics policies and conducts training and outreach activities.
Tasks Summary
- Provides confidential ethics advice and guidance on ethical issues, misconduct, conflicts-of-interest, humanitarian principles.
- Supports implementation and monitoring of the Policy on Outside and Political Activities.
- Conducts research, liaises with departments, and analyzes case management statistics.
- Advises staff on the Agency's policy for protection against retaliation (PaR) and internal grievance mechanisms.
- Supports preliminary reviews of PaR requests and drafts prima facie case findings.
- Designs, develops, and delivers training and outreach on ethical issues.
- Updates the Ethics Office Intranet and external web pages.
- Supports the Ethics Focal Points Network.
- Provides support in the Area Staff Declaration of Interest Programme (ASDIP).
- Provides support for coordination of sexual misconduct as required.
Experience Requirements
• A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in legal practices/ law, corporate compliance, oversight services, organizational ethics, staff misconduct and investigations, employee relations or other related field is required.
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in law, public administration, human resources management or a related field.
