Overview
Oversee WFP operations in western Nepal, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of assistance and development of a cohesive team.
Tasks Summary
- Oversee day-to-day management of WFP operations in western Nepal
- Plan and implement WFP operations in the area of assignment
- Ensure efficient use of allocated resources and report deviations
- Hold accountability for security of WFP staff, operations, premises and assets
- Conduct timely monitoring and evaluation of activities and prepare reports
- Design joint projects with UN and other partners
- Build relations with Provincial and Local Governments, NGOs, UN agencies, civil societies, beneficiaries, media
- Ensure frequent presence at project areas and investment sites
- Contribute to the development of projects, plans and processes
- Guide and supervise junior staff
Experience Requirements
• Experience in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or international development assistance
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced University degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences or other field relevant to international development assistance, or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience
