Overview

The Programme Management Officer will participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of projects related to food systems transformation and other operations within the Economics of Nature Unit. The role involves monitoring programme/project development and implementation, identifying issues, and proposing corrective actions.


Tasks Summary
  • Participate in project development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Monitor and analyze programme/project development and implementation
  • Review documents and reports, identify problems, and propose solutions
  • Liaise with relevant parties and track follow-up actions
  • Analyze opportunities for sustainable food system transformation
  • Provide strategic support and advice to implementing entities
  • Facilitate collaboration between partners and stakeholders
  • Identify challenges, opportunities, priorities, and needs for policy mainstreaming
  • Identify linkages between applications across countries and advise on lessons learned
  • Assist in policy development, review issues and trends
  • Prepare evaluations, research activities, and studies
  • Prepare written outputs such as background papers, analysis, and reports
  • Provide support to meetings, conferences, and other events
  • Review and provide feedback on deliverables from implementing partners
  • Undertake outreach activities and conduct training workshops
  • Make presentations on the TEEB Approach and mainstreaming results
  • Participate in or lead field missions
  • Develop a roadmap for policy implementation
  • Coordinate activities related to budget and funding
  • Prepare programme/project submissions, progress reports, and financial statements
  • Coordinate the development of strategic plans, annual, and quarterly work plans
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and provide insights
  • Perform other duties as required

Experience Requirements
  • Experience in programme management, policy analysis, and stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to conduct data collection using various methods
  • Ability to conduct independent research and analysis
  • Familiarity with and experience in the use of various research sources
