Tasks Summary
- Takes lead in implementing, developing, and evaluating the Policy on Peacekeeping-Intelligence.
- Acts as focal point for coordination and circulation of information relating to the Policy.
- Provides assessments of practices relating to the use of intelligence in peacekeeping operations.
- Supports peacekeeping operations through the configuration of an intelligence system.
- Designs and leads a coordination mechanism of entities to support the flow of intelligence.
- Reviews and analyzes relevant documents and reports, identifying priorities and proposing corrective actions.
- Ensures implementation of gender mainstreaming guidelines.
- Directs research and programme evaluation.
- Coordinates policy development.
- Undertakes survey initiatives and guides data collection instrument design.
- Supervises preparation of various written outputs.
- Directs substantive support to consultative and other meetings.
- Manages outreach activities and conducts training workshops.
- Leads field missions and drafts mission summaries.
- Coordinates activities related to budget and funding.
- Serves as spokesperson and establishes collaboration and partnerships.
- Ensures effective utilization, supervision, and development of staff.
