Overview
Provides procurement, logistical and administrative support in the acquisition of goods and services. Assists in the implementation of effective and efficient management and delivery of procurement activities.
Tasks Summary
- Provides procurement, logistical and administrative support to Procurement Officers.
- Reviews, records and prioritizes purchasing requests.
- Monitors status of requisitions and supplier deliveries.
- Produces tender documents.
- Prepares abstracts of offers and compiles data.
- Finalizes purchase orders and contracts.
- Maintains relevant databases and files.
- Researches sources of supply and vendors.
- Drafts routine correspondence.
Experience Requirements
At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, administrative services or related area is required. The minimum year of relevant experience is reduced to three years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience in a procurement office environment is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Professional certification in supply chain such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply certification (CIPS Level 4) or another equivalent is desirable.
